“Transition From School to Adult Life” Workshop by Dr. Pat Rogan from Indiana University School of Education in Indianapolis
In partnership with Bona Visa, the IU Kokomo campus will host this “Working Lunch” Workshop on March 18th from 1 to 2:30 p.m. This workshop will be lead by Dr. Pat Rogan, a Special Education Professor at the Indiana University School of Education (IUPUI), and will address how schools can partner with families and adult services to ensure a seamless transition for youth with disabilities. This workshop will address current legislation, best practices in transition planning, and resources (e.g., Medicaid Waivers, work incentives) to support lifelong learning, employment, and independent living. The workshop has been crafted to inform and guide educators, students, parents, and people working in the field.
