The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) is a tax credit program awarded through a competitive process that considers a non-profit organization's quality and fiscal responsibility as well as the program’s measurable outcomes.
What are NAP Tax Credits? In exchange for a gift of cash, stock, etc. the donor will receive state income tax credits equal to 50% of the gift’s value.
What will your gift support? Your gift will support children with special needs who speech, occupational or physical therapy, and special needs preschool services.
Eligible Donors Eligible donors include any person, business, or organization that has an Indiana income tax liability. |

Eligible Contributions Eligible contributions include cash, check, credit card and stock.
Contribution Dates Cash – date the organization receives cash, Check – date shown on the check, Credit card – date the credit card is run through our machine, Stock – date the organization actually receives funds into their account (settlement date). Dates can be from July 1, 2007 through June 1, 2008.
Minimum/Maximum Contributions A single contribution from a donor must be at least $100 in order to receive a tax credit of $50. Contributions may not add up to more than $50,000 for $25,000 in tax credits per tax return per calendar year.
Overview Eligible donors can make their charitable gift go further by receiving a 50% state tax credit in addition to a federal charitable tax deduction for qualified donations. Your donation will support children with special needs by providing speech, occupational and physical therapy services, and special needs preschool programming.
Qualified Donations Gifts of cash, check or stock valued at $100 and up from eligible donors to the NAP project provide you with a 50% tax credit on your Indiana state taxes. Here’s how it works... If your gift to Bona Vista is $1,000 You would receive a state income tax credit of* ($500) Federal income tax reduction** ($330) Your final out-of-pocket cost $170 *Any state tax credit greater than your income tax liability is non-refundable. **Assumes 33% tax bracket
Applying For NAP Tax Credits Please consider making a tax credit gift to Bona Vista Programs and help continue support for special needs children. To receive NAP tax credits, donors need only to complete the NC-10 form and the NC-10 IHCDA form. These forms can be downloaded by clicking the links. Print and complete the form then mail it along with your gift to:
