Community Connections is a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. The individuals participating in this program generally need intense supervision and are not currently at the level needed to work independently in the community. Activities are focused on the individual’s personal goals and improving daily living skills. Opportunities are also provided for these individuals to participate in the community as a whole. Community participation opens the doors to many opportunities for socialization, responsibility, and volunteer work. Staff work one-on-one with individuals to help them establish connections within the community. Community Connections works cooperatively with licensed therapists, nurses, social workers, and a behavior coordinator to assist individuals in reaching their highest potential.
